Driver Requirements

• You're at least 25 years old
\n
• Valid Ontario driver’s licence
\n

Driver’s licence must be Class G or higher and issued in Ontario

\n

Temporary licences are acceptable, but be sure to upload your permanent copy when you receive it

• Driving history
\n

1 year driving history if you’re driving in Ottawa

\n

2 years driving history if you’re driving in Kitchener-Waterloo or Niagara

\n

3 years driving history if you’re driving in Toronto or the Greater Toronto area

\n
• Pass an annual driver screening, which reviews your driving history and criminal background check
\n
• Any smartphone that can download and run the Lyft Driver app

Vehicle Requirements

• You have a 4-door from 2013 or newer
\n
• 5-8 seats, including the driver's

• Ontario licence plate
\n
• Not a taxi or stretch limousine

• Not titled as salvage, non-repairable, rebuilt or any other equivalent classification
\n
• Registered in the driver's name to qualify in Kitchener-Waterloo
\n\n
